You are right that these htmlspecialied should display just fine as they do in all tested browsers
I only met this problem with FF 13.0.1, which was the last FF version.
Now have just upgraded to FF 14.0.1 and works fine.
Don't understand and don't know what to do as not everybody is always upgrading to the last version.
Best you can do is just ignore it. It's not possible for us to constantly push releases because a browser bugs out. Nor is it possible for you to be aware of every such issue like this. If a user should mention it to you simply inform them they need to update. Chances are if they're using FF they know how to keep it maintained. The worrisome users are those still using IE, lol.
