I am creating a green field Community Builder site using Joomla 5.3.x. I have been looking for a reasonable Joomla 5 compatible template that would yield a layout similar to Facebook or that shown on the Community Builder demo site. The vast majority of templates that I am finding for social media or networking seem not to have been updated since late Joomla 3.x. I wanted to ask the community if anyone has any recommendations for a Joomla 5 template that would function similar to the Community Builder demo site. My thanks for your thoughts and feedback.
Any Bootstrap 4 or Bootstrap 5 template will work with CB. We've a Bootstrap 5 compatibility mode that can be toggled on in CB > Configuration > Integrations to minimize what CSS we load.
Our demo site is just default Cassiopeia template. In fact this site is also Cassiopeia. It's a very flexible template as you can restyle large parts of it purely with CSS variable overrides. The exception is our hover dropdown menu we've implemented that ourselves since Joomla's is click only.
