Disable CB login and registration was created by iamwe361
Hello,
I would like to disable CB login and site registration. I only needed CB login for members, not customers as they are not members.
Thus, how can I disable CB login and site registration?

For login just unpublish or delete any CB Login Module's you have. For registration navigate to CB > Configuration > Registration and set "Allow User Registration" to 'Same as CMS "allow registration"'. Next in Users > Manage > Options > User Options set "Allow User Registration" to "No". That should disable login and registration entirely for CB.

Hello Krileon,
Disabling or removing the CB Login Module does not work. Once deleted, my home page login states:

Error: CB Login module not created (required).

I need this module disabled without the error.
RE: Registration - I do not see the path you have outlined for CB to disable CB registration???
I want users to be able to register with the Joomla core system - so registered users can purchase books etc. So I cannot disable the Joomla registration

Nor can the Core Joomla login be accessed, still just spins and states: Error: CB Login module not created (required).
Also, the registration form for Joomla Core does not appear.

You said you wanted to disable CB login and registration. So of course you're going to get an error trying to access login once disabled. I'm not sure what you're trying to do at this point.

Are you trying to use Joomla login and Joomla registration instead of CBs? CB isn't really designed for that at that point what are you using CB for?

I want users to be able to register with the Joomla core system - so registered users can purchase books etc. So I cannot disable the Joomla registration

Purchase books during registration? Using what 3rd party extension? Registering a user in CB registers them in Joomla so 3rd party extensions will work fine after registration.

There is no functionality to just turn off CBs registration without also turning off Joomla's. It doesn't work without CB registration. They won't have CB profiles if not registered through CB so CB will not work properly.

Krileon,
I still want users to be able to login and register.
I want them to login and register only through Joomla core systems - as it was prior to paying, downloading and installing your comp.

I do not want users to see an error on the front end of my site??????
After a user login - then they can become a member.
Registration and login to the site is only for public.
Once they become a member, only then can they interact with other members through GroupJive.

I do not want your comp to take over Joomla Core Apps.

RE: So of course you're going to get an error trying to access login once disabled

I should not receive an error (!!!WT???)
Joomla login and registration is enabled and active menu items are set - but a user cannot login nor can anyone register - as your system is stating:

Login: "Error: CB Login module not created (required)." -- system should go to the joomla's core login module, not your error message.
Registration "Creat Account": Nothing appears

Now do you understand?
