I'd just like to give a nice new years update on what's currently in the works to keep everyone informed on how things are going and some of our plans for the future.

Currently a new stable release of CB SEO is being worked on to bring great new SEO features. Several improvements have been made to core schemas, new Joomla events for extending schema AND opengraph will also be available to help automate SEO from CB plugins and Joomla extensions, and new schema types are coming (over 130 types!!).

After CB SEO a major release of CB Gallery is planned. I'm hoping for this to be a big one like CB Activity, but should take substantially less time than CB Activity given its a much smaller plugin. The idea is to implement stored galleries like I've done with stored streams. This would centralize your gallery configuration and management so you don't feel like you're running all over the place and would greatly improve access controls to galleries.

After CB Gallery we'll reveal an update on our CB 3.0 development plans in detail. We've put a lot of time into testing different directions to take CB and have settled on an optimal path going forward that'll greatly improve core CB and all our plugins capabilities, look, and feel. We really want CB to feel like it has always existed in your Joomla install and we'll have details regarding this after CB Gallery has released. I do apologize for being a bit silent on all this, but rest assured we have been happily coding away, testing, and designing!

Now I'd like to ask the community something. What would YOU like to see from us? New plugin ideas? Feature ideas for existing plugins? Please give us your feedback! We'd love to know your goals with CB for 2025 so we can better provide for you.

Hi Toulouzing,
Du you use latest nightly of CB 2.10.0 (build 2025.02.10) and latest Joomla 5.2.5 with default joomla admin template ?
Joomla Dark mode for CB Admin aera has been implemented for Joomla 5, and if you have any Admin dark mode bugs to report, please open a new thread in your Professional forum or in Community /CB /Bugs, with corresponding screenshots.

Hi Kyle !

While using Dark Mode as default, i have many css concerns with the templating of CB. Is it intended to have Dark Mode better implemented in V3 ? ( even if Cassiopea do not have,  as far i know)

You should be able to do that with CBSubs Options. So first you'd need to add an option to the plan that'd let them specify how many shares they want and have that option adjust the price however you like. Next using CBSubs Fields you can set an integer field to that options value using a substitution (see the Display tab of the options integration for the substitution) then have CBSubs Family Share limit be based off that integer field.

Kyle -
One enhancement to the current sharing plug-in would help with my use case  - the current option allows a fixed number of shares (configured in the plan) or defined by an integer in the specific user's profile field.
Neither of these numbers affects the pricing.
It would help if the user could select the number of shares at registration time, and the option pricing would be calculated per share.

My use case is a pull model and has no limits on the number of registrants - a prospective subscriber signs up for the Family Plan option, selects the Family Member during the registration process, and receives a discount accordingly. The selected Subscriber is notified that someone is claiming a Family discount, and the selected Subscriber must approve the Family claim. The Family subscriber's registration is pending until approved. If declined or not approved within [pick a time limit] days, the registration is disapproved. In this use case, the Family subscriber pays a lower rate, and there's no pricing impact on the original Subscriber.

Interesting, so basically a family discount. That might be something we can add to CBSubs Family Plans in a future release as it is named sharing internally and I could review adding a family discount feature to it that needs approval or perhaps generates and sends discount coupons. Have created a feature ticket to review further and am linking it to your reply so if you've additional details to add at any point feel free to do so.
