With Joomla 2.5+ you can configure your website to display content only to not logged in users.

Just follow the process outlined below:

  1. If you are on Joomla 2.5.x you need to create a new Guest group, a new Guest access viewing level and you need to specify that the new guest group is Guest instead of the default Public. This is explained in detail here:

    If you are using Joomla 3.0+ then you can skip this step since Joomla 3.0 is already configured for this.

  2. Go to your CB 1.8.1+ CB Configuration -> User Profile tab and set your Allow Access To: parameter to - Everybody

  3. Create a new CB Tab (or modify an existing one) and set its View Access Level: to Guest


Result: The Guest tab you created will only show up if user viewing is not logged in.
