Hello
Trying to use mailer with subscription's subscription date gives the following error when automation settings is used to process (for tests purposes) whatever the time setting used :

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'R 'X' ORDER BY m.`id` DESC' at line 5 SQL=SELECT * FROM `_cbsubs_subscriptions` AS m WHERE (m.`subscription_date` <= '2015-12-29 08:59:35') AND (m.`subscription_date` >= '2014-12-29 08:59:35') AND m.`plan_id` = 6 AND m.`status` R 'X' ORDER BY m.`id` DESC
Please provide a screenshot of your exact mailer configuration. Please also ensure you've latest CB 2.x nightly and latest CBSubs 4.x nightly installed.

Was able to confirm your issue. Appears to be due to "Must be in state". Once set to "--- Not relevant ---" it'll work fine, but then it won't apply to your usage exactly anymore. I've created a urgent priority bug ticket for Beat to look into. Unsure what was changed to break this.

Thanks, will try to test the auto action mailing function to see if it fits our needs.
Provided we have access to all substitution strings from CBsubs and promotion it could do
