Question about cb activity... was created by liaskas
Hello, we are using cb activity for many years. One of the reasons we use it for is to inform guests and members about new articles created.

Everything is working pretty nice on cb_activity version 5.0.1 (Joomla 4.4.9). An auto action logs activity for newly created article entries. In the activity page the title of the article shows, the article intro text shows with no read more button. This is what we need.

We have created a clone of our current website using joomla 5.2.1 latest CB and cb_activity version 6.1.1.

Here we have an issue no matter if we use an auto action or the built in option to log activity for newly created article entries. Only the article title appears in the activity post, there is no intro text, and a read more button shows at the end of the post.

Can you pease tell us how to set things so that we have the activity posts like the following?

Can you please help us?

Thank you in advance.

Your article is split into intro and full text. CB Activity respects the readmore break in Joomla articles now. Previously it did not, which could result in article data displaying when it shouldn't due to restrictions placed on the full article text. Edit your articles and ensure they've proper usage of the readmore break.

All of the articles have intro text seperated by the introtext break exactly as they had in the previous versions. The intro text shows fine in our homepage (Featured articles).

It has to be something else!

Did you override the following template file in CB Activity?

/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbactivity/templates/default/activity/core/article.php

Latest release even supports Joomla article attached images.

No... cb activity uses the default template and no changes have been made to the file mentioned!

Only other thing I can think of is you've turned off displaying article intro. Edit your article then under Options > Layout ensure "Intro Text" is set to "Show" or if using global that it's showing "Use Global (Show)". CB Activity respects article parameters now.
