Bumping activities issue was created by liaskas
Hello
Is there a way to disable bumping activities?

We create an activity for every article we publish every day so more or less, the activity stream works as a timeline on our site.

When someone makes a comment on an article, the activity is bumped to the top of the activity stream, so the "timeline" role of our activity stream is destroyed.

So how can we disable bumping activity posts?

That's probably the "Comment Bump" feature. You can configure that in CB Activity > Parameters > Activity in the "Activity" section.

These are my current settings...

Still when someone comments on an article, the activity item is pumped to the top.

What activity is being bumped to the top? The article create activity or the "X commented on" activity? If it's "X commented on" activity it's likely the "Comment" activity under CB Activity > Parameters > Activity > Articles, which should create a new activity entry when someone comments. It will bump that though if they comment again as it doesn't create multiple entries. Is that the comment bump you're seeing?

Hello Krileon.
I was a bit confused, so let me explain the total procedure.

A new article (for example ID 10) is created and with it an activity item in the activity stream.
The user logs in, reads the article and creates a comment at the bottom of the article page.
Now there is another activity item for article ID 10 at the top of the activity stream and that should not be there!
This article (ID 10) was created 3 days ago, new articles were created since then, but it shows on activity page at the top, creating confusion to the users about the latest published articles.

Thank you

Ok, that sounds like the comment activity. Within CB Activity > Parameters > Activity > Articles turn off "Comment" activity.
