So I have installed it, how would a user set his weather locations?

btw, i was looking to have to write a module, so this will be helpful so that I do not :)

EDIT : I am dumb... went to edit preferences... haha. Thanks!

Hi,

I just tried this plugin and although it works for my own profile (I can see the weather on my profile), if I click on another users profile (in my connections or for anyone online) it bombs out completely with the error:

The following error was encountered:

Zero Sized Reply
Squid did not receive any data for this request.

on the browser and in the apache logs:

[client xxx] PHP Notice: Undefined offset: 5 in /<webpath>/includes/database.php on line 406, referer: www.example.com/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=111&mosmsg=Your+settings+have+been+saved .

about 20 or 30 of those messages. When I unpublish the weather field, all works fine again.

Did this plugin actually work for anyone else?

I'm using Joomla 1.0.9, CB 1.0, php-4.3.9-3.12, httpd-2.0.52-22.ent

Thanks.

Michael.

ve.xhydro.net/component/option,com_comprofiler/task,userProfile/user,63/Itemid,35/

It works fine for me.

The site is using Joomla 1.0.9 and CB 1.0

Is your server in SAFEMOD ON?

No, I don't have safe mode on. The strange thing is, I don't have trouble with any other modules/coms/plugs, only the weather one.

I've done some level of trouble-shooting to try and resolve, but alas with no success. It continues to complain about:

[client xxx] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: url in /<path>/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_weather/cb.weather.php on line 33, referer: www.example.com/

which is turn is this line in the file:

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url);

Does this mean there's a problem with curl? My curl version is:

curl-7.12.1-8.rhel4

hmm its look like that your server didnt support this curl code? Actually you can get more detailed of weather information if you modify the feed2js plugin. B)
