More over, there have been questions when I will release plugins. I am going live with two sites hopefully during the early fall. As soon as that is done, I will upload things here. Until that, you can download development versions at

Here is a brief status report:
conditions
Shows and hides fields and values on the client side. This is a convenience solution, not a access control solution.
+showing and hiding fields with IE does not work
*performance problems with large amount of options in selects
-no administrative component
extended selects
Allows users to enter new values to selects.

*there is an administrative interface, but it is quite specific to our needs
list tab
Allows user to make tab "list enabled", that is, a tab can have several entries with the field
+does not work on registration
+a minor useability bug on the admin side
-might cause data loss if set up carelessly

Allows access control on tabs.

In addition, after these two sites are done, I will probably release a couple of customizations, including
-selects that support joomfish
-task-buttons for userlist (e.g. email selected, add selected as contacts etc)
The reason for not implementing some things is simply that I have no need for these, and while I am more thatn happy to release something that has been already written, I am a bit reluctant on coding something that I do not need for free. Especially, that there is a bunch of things to do without extra codings.
