broken links in CB was created by darence88
Hello,

After I enable SEF, all CB links seems to be broken.
As an example, I put user profile( CB profile) at the user menu list.
When I click at the user profile link, I get 404 error.

However, I solve this by using redirect extension. Then, there are still some problems. In CB user profile , other links such as links to other user profile also broken.

Other link on my site working fine except for CB.

I limit the user menu for registered user only.

Please help me.Thanks in advance.

P/S : I'm sorry.. I had search through the forum but cannot find my answer.

my environment : joomla version 1.5.22
CB version 1.3.1
Php version : 3.3.8
SEF : built in joomla

This is wrong - please check again.

Also, please give exact steps you took to enable SEF.

Sorry, the PHP version is 5.2.15..

1)enable the SEF URL ,
2)change the livesite parameter in configuration.php
3)change htaccess.txt to .htaccess and
4)enable apache rewrite..

Thanks!

2)change the livesite parameter in configuration.php

Changed to what? The $live_site variable in configuration.php should be '' (blank). Do not adjust this variable.

Please right-click the link in question and copy>paste it in a reply to this thread so we know how the URL is showing up. More then likely is due to the $live_site variable being populated.

before I did #2, all the links in my site broken. Therefore, I searched for solutions and found it in Joomla documentation. It works, but not for CB..
