Error : this profil doesn't exist...

Hello,

I'm discovering CB and it seems a very good extension. However I've got an issue when I'm trying to see a profile, I get this error : This profil doesn't exist or is not longer available.

This error happens when I'm trying to see EVERY profil, without special characters in the username. I can edit my profil but I'm not able to see it, I've been looking for so long on google and didn't find any answers about this problem which occurs usually with a username with specials characters.

Is somebody thinks he knows what is the problem ? Thanks

I have the same problem and can not find something by google.
Users created by CB and users created (before install) by the genuine joomla registration.
No special characters.
Tried the sync in admin tools.
Joomla 1.7.0
CB 1.7

very strange, I have only the issue in Firefox 501 and not in IE 9

I've sold the issue by clearing all my navigator cookies...

In fact I think this happen when somebody who's not abilited to see profiles, and then that block the access to profiles for everyone, until we clear cookies, that's very strange :huh:

very strange idd and if that is the case it can not be avoided,
can somebody confirm?

suggestion to all - please follow CB installation instructions and verify that you are using CB registration form and CB User Manager in backend when creating new users.

thank you for your suggestion but I've followed the PDF and double-checked with the txt prior and during the installation.

Even uninstalled it and reinstalled it.

Like I've said in my post new regs were via CB and users before the install of CB were via the joomla form. After the install of CB the Joomla login and reg links were removed.

I doubt also that it could be something in that area as I only have the issue for the moment in firefox and not in IE.

Searching the net I've found several posts like mine and TwistedTomy's, same issues with IE and Firefox etc so it is or should be a known problem for CB
Almost everywhere there are the 2 same answers:
- Follow the installation guide
- Clean up your cookies and cache

I hope that somebody can help solving this issue and I’m fully prepared to help finding it within the limits of my knowledge and free time as I do believe that CB has potential.
