Change "update profile" link on profile page to custom page

Hello CB Community,

I am trying to change the "update your profile" button on the user general page.

Currently it is linking to index.php?option=com_comprofilertask=userDetails, I would like to know how it is possible to link to a custom page I created.

That link is meant for people to access their profile editing in CB.
It doesn't make sense to hack it.
If you want people to go to some other page from their profile page then you can use a delimiter field to create such a html button on the profile pages.

In my case it is needed as I have a custom page as my profiles are handled by a separate application. I am using the comprofiler table as a view in order to avoid data duplication. It is OK to show the profile page through CB but the editing has to happen through a custom link I would like to replace "update your profile" with.

Nope - no suggestions.
The CB update your profile button is used to update the CB profile that a user is seeing.
This means that the data that appears on the page is displayed by CB.

If you have some external system that also needs to be updated you can add an extra button (use delimiter field) that can be displayed on the profile and takes people to some other URL.
