Can we sell articles with CBSubs

Hi,

I work in a newspaper and I would like to know if we can sell articles with CBsubs.

I want to put half of an article online. Then, whoever wants to read the other half pays before reading on. is it possible with CBsubs?

Do you have documentation with this feature? Do you have exemple of website which use it?

With CBSubs you can protect any Joomla content (single article, all articles of a specific category, etc) and require a subscription for access.

You can configure things so only the teaser portions of the articles are freely accesses and the Read More part requires a subscription.

When someone clicks on the read more link CBSubs will kisck in and take the user to a subscription page where all valid plans that unlock the content (can be more than one plan) will be proposed.

Yes this is documented in the CBSubs documentationa dn sample use cases are also given.

No there is no demo site that shows this - but it is doable and supported.

You can also protect specific areas of your website using URL-Parts protection.

For example try and post on the Developer forum on this site and you will see CBSubs kick in asking for a subscription.

There is no support for specific number of articles access.

So you cannot for example say - pay X amount to get Y articles.

Since you are just now starting please download and install latest CB 2.0.9 and just released CBSubs 4.0 stable.

See frontpage article for download links.

Suggest you download the documentation and start reading it and then start a support thread on the CBSubs GPL forums with any questions you might have.

(you should install only what you need based on functionality you want - see manual for plugin functionality)
