Hi

I'm trying to find a member subscription extension for Joomla, that will fit a local sports club. My main issue is finding a system that allow for some more advanced automatic discounts. The club gives a 50% discount on the second/third etc. concurrent / active subscription.

Example: I buy a subscription for my self at full price. Then I also buy a subscription for my son. The second subscription receives an automatic "family discount" at 50% off the normal price. If I or my son stops, the remaining subscription no longer qualifies for the "family discount" and is charged the normal price at next renewal.

Is this possible to do with CBSubs? If not, can it be coded as a plugin to extend CBSubs?
Thanks,

Kind regards
Daniel

CBSubs Promotions certainly lets you apply discounts if you have X plan active. For example lets say you have the following setup.

Plan A
Plan B

You could have a promotion that if purchasing Plan A and Plan B is active apply 50% discount. You'd have a second promotion that does the reverse of if purchasing Plan B and Plan A is active apply 50% discount.

We provide backend and frontend access to CBSubs on our demo site below if you want to explore CBSubs Promotions.

demo.cbdemosites.com/

After using the "Login As" for Administrator and logging in click "Community Builder" on the menu bar at the top of the page, mouse over Plugin Management, then CB Paid Subscriptions and click Promotions. From there Promotions Settings lets you create new promotions.

Thank you - I've looked around in the demo administration, and see nice options for discounting on multiple subscriptions. Looks like I can "tick" that box :-)

How about custom fields on a subscription.

Given my case above, each subscription is connected to a person, but one user can have multiple subscriptions for family members. So we need to record a name + other relevant information on the subscription instead of on the user.

Is that possible?
I could not figure that out from the demo.

Thanks

It's not possible to capture additional information (e.g. custom fields) during the purchase process. You would need to do that before purchase (e.g. in profile edit).

The information needs to be linked to the subscription. You can consider the Joomla user as a "family administrator", whereas each subscription is a club member. So we need to attach information like name, birthday, gender etc. to the subscription.

Or, a way for the "family administrator" to be able to "group" their club member profiles, and still receive discounts for multiple subscriptions. But I don't see that possible with CB Subs?

Thanks

There's no functionality for storing additional fields with a subscription. Your additional information would need to be collected on profile using profile fields either from profile edit or from profile view using CB Core Fields Ajax. As for collecting groups of fields you could use CB Field Groups for that.

Sorry, not understanding how these family members are even supposed to be accessing the site. Are they just other users? If they are your best option is CBSubs Family Plans for easy sharing of subscriptions.
