Issue with the middle name

Hi,
We have been facing an issue with some members in our database.

The issue is when members with middle name updates their profile from the frontend (e.g. change their password), when we look at the members record in the backend (under User Management) the only field we can see under Full Name column is the Middle Name of the member and the system removes the First Name and Surname of the members from the dashboard.

I have been able to replicate this using different browsers on different machines.

Any ideas on why this is happening and if there is a solution for it please?

Just tested with CB 1.8 and everything works ok.

I updated the password of a person with a middle name and fullname is at is was and as it should be.

Does this mean we have to now upgrade to CB 1.8 to resolve this issue?

We are on 1.7.1 at the moment.

I also tested on a CB 1.7.1 site and I cannot replicate your issue.

Means that something else on your end is causing this.

Thanks for looking in to this. We have had this issue since the first day and hoped that with every upgrade it would get resolved.

This has caused some issues as we cannot reconcile the membership reports (all generated from backend without first name and surnames).

Do you have any ideas of why this is happening?

No idea - maybe something else you installed?

It should be easy enough to verify that this does not happen on a clean site.
