Frontend Language resets itself when editing profile

12 years 2 months ago - 12 years 2 months ago #214005 by webmaster_eu
Hi,
We hide our frontend user parameters (language, editor etc) from the user profile, as we set the frontend language of each user when activating them, so the user does not see these options on their profile.

However, when a user edits and saves their profile, it sets all their user parameters back to -default-.

It's like comprofiler is not getting their settings when they edit profile, so it just sets them to default on save. Bug?

Thanks...

This is due to the below bug.

forge.joomlapolis.com/issues/3762

This issue is fixed and we've re-released CB 1.9. You should be able to re-download and re-install CB 1.9 to resolve it.

That's latest, have you tried re-downloading it and re-installing it? Believe the upload was made late last night.

1) params CB field should always be published
2) you can turn front-end params off in CB
3) you might need to turn them off too in Joomla Users Options too

I checked the fix on joomla 2.5.7 and it works after our fix here.
