Yeah the ajax response ins't working right. Please check that live_site within configuration.php is blank. If issue still persists then try disabling SEF (if enabled) and see if issue persists.

Edit configuration.php in your Joomla root folder and ensure live_site is '' (blank). If it already is then navigate to Joomla global configuration from Joomla backend and disable SEF then see if it'll work.
