on our testserver I ran the upgrade from
J 2.5.8 CB 1.9.0 with GJ2.5.3rc2
to GJ2.6
I did not remove GJ beforehand but installed all the plugins using the CB installer over the old installtion. The installation I did as described in the documentation.
Attached you find before and after pictures. For some reason it seems to have broken the way it looks.

I had first some of these problems too. Now it's over:
you need to install cb bootstrap 2.0.1 template too. And go back to the gj default template.

The other template colors are depreciated. You need to switch to default. If you want to adjust the colors you can use the below tool to generate a color scheme and add it as a new template folder with your CSS in override.css.
Note you'll need to prefix all CSS selectors with "#cbGj #cbGjInner" for it to take affect.

currently the bootstrap template is installed (before and after the upgrade):
CB Bootstrap 1.0.2: This plugin provides a Twitter Bootstap powered Community Builder template.
The template is set to "default".
I then ran the upgrade (note I believe that GJ2.5.3rc2 screenshots used the bootstrap 1.0.2 already) but groupjive images seem broken...
So I do not think it is a missing bootstrap template or the "default" selection.
Could this be something else?

You need to install latest CB Bootstrap (2.0.1) and with GJ 2.6 navigate to configuration and change its template back to default. It should then display fine with the new design. You'll probably need to refresh a few times to get the CSS loaded in as browser caches CSS/JS.

thanks for the message. I reinstalled the latest version of Bootstrap and then reinstalled the latest version of Groupjive.
The Bootstrap Update did the trick.
