Hi --

Your auto feature is fantastic -- lots of options.. gratz on that one.

However, I really need to be able to have a GJ group join trigger Joomla ACL group joins :)

Is this technically feasible (although current capability seems to indicate that it's only possible in the other direction)?

Many thanks -dj

Latest release includes GJ triggers in the dropdown. Simply select the group join trigger and use a usergroup action to add them to a usergroup. You can then have the following conditional to check against a group id or group name.

Group Id:
[var2_id] Equal To 1

Group Name:
[var2_name] Equal To My Group

It'll then add them to a Joomla usergroup based off the GJ group they joined.

Wow that's great news! I have GJ 2.6.1 though, same date as what's listed for download on the site, and don't see a group join trigger or anything like it. Am I missing something?l

CB Auto Actions latest release includes them. The GJ Auto integration will also include them in next release. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the quick response and clarification. Are you saying that CB auto (which I have now downloaded) will do the job? If so, what would be advantage of doing this from GJ auto when available instead?

Also, I've noticed that users have to log out and back in when Joomla ACL permissions are changed for them to take effect. Is there any way to log them out and back in automatically as part of the process to avoid confusion?

Cheers,

Tory

You need CB Auto Actions for this. GJ Auto Integration just creates categories, creates groups, or joins groups (GJ Groups, not usergroups).

Also, I've noticed that users have to log out and back in when Joomla ACL permissions are changed for them to take effect. Is there any way to log them out and back in automatically as part of the process to avoid confusion?

Shouldn't have to with latest CB Auto Actions release as it refreshes their session with the new ACL.
