can you tell me if there is a plugin that enables all users to receive email notifications when there is any activity amongst members

Multiple ways it can be done, but you need to be more specific as to what Activity is. Profile update? Login? Create GroupJive group? Join GroupJive group? Please be more specific.

Hi thanks for the reply, i'm trying to get people to use the site more so thought it would be nice for them to receive emails when someone writes on their profile wall, book etc so they are encouraged then to login and reply. I suppose if everyone receives an email with what has been going on it would be good, just like when you click on the activity link you are given a list of activity.

Sounds like spam and would get your site black listed by pretty much all major email servers as a spammer. I suggest setting up an optional newsletter that you manually send out with what's going on at your site. Sending everyone an email everytime someone performs activity on your site would be a very bad idea for your sites sake (your emails will get flagged as spam and being unflagged is very hard to do). There's also opt in notifications for GroupJive activity, but I am not aware of any for ProfileBook Wall tab except the one that sends to the profile owner (optional).

Can i set all members notifications to "NOTIFY" as default? Can you suggest any plugins that will encourage members interaction?

Yes, Navigate to GJ > Config then Notifications > General > Defaults, Notifications > Categories > Defaults, and Notifications > Groups > Defaults. To set the defaults for the various integrations navigate to Integrations > INTEGRATION > Notifications > Defaults.

Can you suggest any plugins that will encourage members interaction?

The entire site is designed for them to interact depending on what you installed. GroupJive for example has the sole purpose of interaction between members. There's also CB Blogs to encourage blogging. CB ProfileGallery to encourage photo sharing. You can use CB Activity to have an easy to use/read activity stream. Spamming users with emails is not going to encourage anything except never come back. Use email marketing carefully. GroupJive notifications are optional so it's fine to send them those as they can opt out anytime they want (be careful with setting all to default notify, only default notify relevant ones).
