CBSubs Mailer Issue was created by nphic
Folks,

We migrated to J2.5 running CB 1.9 and CBSubs 3.0.0. Since the migration, I have not been able to run the Mailer program in CBSubs. When I go into Automation Setting and click the first link, the program returns 0 rows processed. I turned on debug and I am getting the following error message:

JDatabaseMySQL::query: 1054 - Unknown column 'alias' in 'where clause' SQL=SELECT id FROM m7alm_assets WHERE alias = 'root'

Any thoughts on how I resolve this issue?

Thanks,
Joe

Folks,

I installed ACL Manager and it is reporting that there is an "Ophan Asset" which happens to be com_cbsubs. Should I resolve the orphan asset and delete it? I'm not sure if I need to delete it or fix it. I attached a screenshot of the ACL Manager output. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe

There's no query in the mailer to the _assets database table that I can see. Try creating a new mailer entry and see if it sends. If showing same error then disable non-core Joomla system plugins 1 by 1 until resolved. If still not resolved repeat this step with non-core CB plugins 1 by 1 until resolved.

I would be careful with this as I've no idea how it goes about doing this. Maybe you should review CBSubs and ensure you're not using a usergroup or view access level somewhere that no longer exists, but this still shouldn't cause your query error.

- CBSubs ACL is not orphan, it's just Joomla that does not see CBSubs for now. So the ACL Manager warning is a false positive and can be ignored. Do not delete that asset entry.

- Do you have a file and line number for where that query that fails is located ?

Gents,

The problem is resolved by recreating the CBSubs Mailers. Something gets messed up when you migrate to J2.5. I deleted each Mailer, recreated and it works fine.

I'll see if I can get more details on the error.

The entry in the assets table was deleted by the vendor working with me. How do I restore it?

Thanks,
Joe
