No reason for it to crash a browser. It doesn't have any heavy javascript and PHP has no affect on client side in this regard. Sounds like an issue with your computer. Maybe try FireFox and see if it does the same thing? Safari and Chrome use the same Webkit engine so you won't see any difference between the two.

hmmm, I have used multiple iPhones and multiple browsers and multiple websites, they all crash at the same moment. As soon as I open a group in groupjive.
But you're right it's all server side stuff. Could it have something to do with the bootstrap template? I just updated it, and it's still doing it.
So here's the scenario. I have multiple Joomla sites, all running the same config with CB and GJ, it all works great on all devices and browsers... except ios. When I open a group it crashes the browser, Chrome and Safari.
Browser crashing would imply a problem with the browser it self (sometimes happens with infinite loops or javascript issues). Beat and Nick both are on iOS I believe and have not had such issues. I am on Windows with no such issues. Try disabling GJ integrations, if any installed, 1 by 1 and see if it resolves. If possible try a different computer with iOS and see if it persists there as well as try FireFox if possible.
