No, you can't change a fields type. The only way to force it is through database edits, which I do not recommend doing. If you need an ajax select type field then you can use CB Core Fields Ajax to turn almost all fieldtypes into ajax usage.

Hello, I use it but the problem is that after validating a change, once it works, when it does not work!

Enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration then attempt to use it again. There's likely some sort of fatal error present that's breaking the save process. Please also ensure you're using latest release of CB Core Fields Ajax (1.5.0).
