We could not figure out a way to search in fields of users in a user list which are not displayed in the list (to keep the list clean) but which are displayed on the profiles and also editable by these users themselves (so-far conditionals work fine!).
In LIST configuration the search "All searchable fields" should be the option of choice, I guess. But unfortunately this shows these fields on ALL user lists - also the list with a user group that does not have this field visible.
Your userlist has to be set to "All searchable fields" as you've already done in addition to the field being set to be searchable within CB > Field Management. What searchable fields the userlist displays is list by list based so changing this will not affect all your userlists unless all your userlists are configured to show all searchable fields.

The problem is that with the "All fields..." setting really all searchable fields are shown (->and trying using conditionals to prevent this failed...) - some shall be hidden - as we cultivate two different user groups where some fields differ and make no sense appearing for search.
It's supposed to show all searchable fields. CB Conditional can change the display of a fields search input though if you need them conditioned. Just ensure "Userlists Search:" is set to "Enabled" under "For...".

This is something i am also looking into. I have around 125 fields, while the searchable fields of a group are finally around 10 or so.
My fields are being published on a tab while the tab is conditioned to a specific user group. If i am doing a conditional for list search, will this work out or will it conflict with the conditional tab, and can i hide the field, showing all lists as well?
