I need to add a heading to the Login Page via "Show Page Heading" in the menu item options but this does not work. What am I missing?

Also there is written "Einloggen" (German) on top of the username field which I would like to get rid of but dont know where.

Cheers

We don't use any of those menu settings provided by Joomla. The login page display is the CB Login module HTML parsed and displayed though so some of the login modules parameters can be used to add extra text to it. You can also change it to Compact to get rid of the "Username:" display above the username field within your CB Login modules settings within Extensions > Module Manager.

"We don't use any of those menu settings provided by Joomla" -> this is really strange because that is exactly what makes Joomla as a whole tedious to style. Every 3rd party bakes its own cookies.

I need to get rid of <div class="componentheading">Einloggen</div>, not of "Username". Where would I do that?

Cheers

There's no parameter to get rid of it, but you can hide it with the below CSS.

Code:
#cb_cb_comp_login > .componentheading { display: none; }

Will CB 2.0 be fully compatible with Joomla and act like everybody would expect, meaning using the native Joomla facilities like menu parameters, language overrides, Joomla template classes and the like?

Joomla metadata menu parameters will be used on the various menu item endpoints. Language overrides will not as we've our own language system. Joomla templates will not at this time except for the Modules, which use Joomla module layouts. The rest of frontend should once we've implemented XML engine usage on frontend in CB 2.1.
