I tried with the Joomla search
Search will not find the fields defined in CB
also not in the query fields
I tried with: Mijo Search including the Extension: Community Builder 2.0.1
How do I implement a nice small search Module like in JoomlaPolis top/right?

I have:
CB Search Bot allows Joomla search modules to search CB users. It does not work with smart search. You have to select fields for it to search as by default it only searches name fields and only if they're marked searchable as well as accessible to the user searching.

The search module we are using here is the built-in one that Joomla has.
It will pick up search plugins like the CB Search bot you downloaded.
Once you install the CB Search bot, you need to find it in the Joomla Extension plugin manager and configure it for the CB Fields you want searched.
Then publish it and it should be picked up by the Joomla search module.

I did not mention SMART search - so please do not use it.
You need to use the standard Joomla search module.
