[#5044] Images in CBSubs Mailer

Folks,

I have a number of mailers that include an image of our logo. I attempted to use an absolute path to the image. I placed an "http:www.xxxxx.xxx" in front of the image path of "images/stories/...". When I save the mailer, it strips out the www. How do I get the mailer to accept an absolute path to the image?

You can use the live_site substitution to append the live path. Example usage as follows.

[cb:config param="live_site" /]/images/stories/image.png

When I do that, the image does not display. Sorry. Not a wizard at this stuff.

Yes, example as follows.

The above is just an example. You need to change the path to point to an image that actually exists.

Well, I'm finally getting around to this 10 months later!

I tried doing what you suggested and the code keeps getting truncated. I'm using JCE Editor and I put it into code mode. Here is what I entered:

<img src="[cb:config param=" www.nphic.org " /]images/stories/Graphics/Logos/NPHIC-Logo-Invoice.jpg" />

When I toggle the editor back to WYSIWYG mode, I get a broken picture icon. I switch back into code mode and this is what I see:

<img src="[cb:config param=" alt="" />

Any thoughts on why this is happening?

You don't put your actual live_site in the param, it's literally the string live_site. So in your case you'd have the below.


Your editor isn't going to be able to render it as it's not processed until display where the substitution will properly replace with your site URL.
