Hello,

well, I am getting lost with all GJ's tabs. Actually, I have been trying to figure out how to send, from backend and on behalf of a user, to a specific ACL an invitation to join his group.
How do achieve this?
Thanks for your help

You can't send an invite to join a group from backend on a users behalf. You can force the user into the group, but it won't invite them. Only management available for GJ invites in backend is deleting.

ok, please:

1) seen on the GJ leaflet, "Auto-join users to specific groups", what is it, then? and how do you achieve it?
2)with regard to your previous comment, how do you force the user into the group?

Sorry, I'm maybe missing something, but this is not clear to me,

Tx

Another comment, is there not a way with auto action to send a mail to an ACL to join a specific group ?

Thanks

1) seen on the GJ leaflet, "Auto-join users to specific groups", what is it, then? and how do you achieve it?

That's the GJ Auto integration. It comes with a field for users to select groups to automatically join during registration. It also can setup GJ actions to be performed at various CB triggers (e.g. join a certain group after logging in), but for that I recommend CB Auto Actions as GJ Auto is to be deprecated in next major GJ release (auto field will become part of GJ core).

2)with regard to your previous comment, how do you force the user into the group?

Navigate to GJ > Users then click New and supply the User ID of the user you want to force join a group then select the group and use status and click Save.

Use the Email action and set the Access to the usergroup you want it to send to. You still need to figure out what trigger you want the action to be performed on though.

Thank you,

I got it for 1) & 2)

So at this stage, I am using the email auto action.
Let's assume when userY post a new photo, "editor" ACL is sent an auto mail to join userY's group.

Then I have troubles to fill in parts:

"To" --> what should I put for "editor ACL"
"Body message" --> I would put something like welcome, please join [UserY's newgroup]

I have no clue on how to achieve this and what code to put...

Thanks for your support
