problems with user registration was created by frew332
hi,
unfortunately in my installation of joomla 3.3 with CB 1.9.1 I have various problems regarding user
when you try to register, after sending the form you open a 404 error page
the link to verify the email leads to a page where "I do not have permissions"
At this point get an email saying that the email address is already confirmed

Ensure you've a public and published Joomla menu item to CBs profile page. Its Itemid is used for nearly all of CBs URLs.

Check to see if you have a menu link to CBs registration page. If you do ensure it's Public as CB will use that for registration if it exists. You've a permission issue somewhere and will just have to keep debugging until found. Typically this is due to Menu permissions, but you could have permission problems in Users > User Manager > Permissions or Site > Global Configuration > Permissions.

A 404 when accessing a menu item is Joomla access permissions. It acts as if the location doesn't exist. You'll need to track down the permission problem. If you're using SEF then try disabling SEF and see if that resolves your issue as in some cases 3rd party SEF extensions can rewrite the URLs incorrectly.
