[SOLVED] portrait aspect ratio was created by AlanJones
I cannot get the portrait image to display with aspect ratio, it always squashes the image into the portrait window on the profile page.
Portrait thumbs look good, it's just the main user profile window.

Canvas photo has a limited width. Full screen it's 200px and on mobile it's 100px. The aspect ratio will be maintained within that limitation by accepting no larger than 200px width and no smaller than 200px width. So extremely large photos or extremely small photos may not look the best.

That's not going to work, sadly. That one factor pretty much renders CB 2 unusable to me.
The communities I develop have 90% users who don't know how to resize a photo width and will not tolerate profile pics out of aspect ratio.
I guess I'll have to stick with CB 1.9.1 unless there is some other solution?

It maintains the aspect ratio fine as only the width is forced to 200px or 100px as needed. So the only up and downscaling is the height. This means the aspect ratio is never lost. So I really don't see the problem. At any rate you could always change the CSS and remove this, but then profile images are going to be all over the place and look terrible.

In addition to this CB 2.0 comes with new upload features to force specifically sized images if you wanted. There's no way to have really badly skewed images (lost aspect ratio) in CB unless you specifically set for it to not maintain the aspect ratio.

Also you don't have to use the canvas positions. All the previous positions are still there and usable. Move your tabs back to them and you'll have CB 1.x profile again.

Just tried it with "Always Resample Image Uploads" set to yes - still the same.
