Is there still an issue with the T&C window? I can't get the field to show anything other than a really long, intimidating text box.

No, the issue was fixed with the tooltip API so the iframe expands the full height and width of the modal window properly when using modal with URL usage. Ensure you're up to date with CB 2.0.7 then adjust your terms and conditions field as needed.

But that won't work when I just include standard text? How should I reference a Joomla article in a URL?

Don't understand your issue then. Yes, plain text works fine. Terms and Condition fields have different modes of display. Choose whichever you like best.

How should I reference a Joomla article in a URL?

You link to its non-SEF component page starting with index.php. Example as follows.

index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=ARTICLE_ID_HERE&tmpl=component

I will try using a Joomla article (got frustrated with appearance with K2), but when I used plaintext changing the parameters had no effect. Will advise if this changes.

Changing what parameters? Please be more specific as to what configuration is causing you issues. Please understand we can't afford to exhaust time on guessing what configuration of dozens is causing you problems. We need details to investigate, confirm, identify, and fix bugs. Please also describe what you're expecting it to display as as perhaps a parameter is just being misunderstood. Screenshots of the problem are also helpful.
