Problems after updating to Joomla 3.4.1 was created by pebeecher
Hi,

I just updated my site from Joomla 3.3.1 to Joomla 3.4.1 and have encounter 2 problems:

1) I am using Chronoforms which executes some code to populate the form from the CB information. When I invoke the form I get this error:
Fatal error: Class 'CBuser' not found in <path to custom code>
It looks like the API is not being found? Any ideas?

2) CBSubs disappeared after the Joomla update - how do I rectify this?

Regards, Phil

No idea, we didn't develop Chronoforms or write your custom form code. You'll need to check your form code. The CBuser class still exists, but I'm guessing your usage isn't including CBs framework file to load in CBs API.

2) CBSubs disappeared after the Joomla update - how do I rectify this?

Disappeared? It uninstalled from CB > Plugin Management? I don't see how that's possible with a Joomla update. Please clarify further as to what disappeared.

Hi,

>> but I'm guessing your usage isn't including CBs framework file to load in CBs API.
Almost certainly - please can you point me at the documentation to describe how this should be done?

>> Community Builder: Plugin Management
CBSubs is still showing in the plugins, but "Community Builder" and "Paid Subscriptions" have disappeared from the backend admin menu.

I am not sure where to start looking for the cause of the problem?

That is weird - Joomla upgrade should not really touch this.

Suggest you upgrade your CB 2.0+ install to the latest nightly from this link:

www.joomlapolis.com/downloads/doc_details/640-community-builder-nightly-build

That should restore the admin module for the menus.

I failed to mention that I used an extension (MigrateMePlus) to do the upgrade.

2) However, CB admin menu items were unpublished, but are now working OK, thanks.

1) I am still having a problem with the CB API.

Is this documentation current? www.joomlapolis.com/support/tutorials/120-api-usage/18359-establishing-a-cb-user-object .

How do I ensure that "Don't forget to add $_CB_framework global if it is yet to be established or it won't function and you'll receive an error" is occurring?

I failed to mention that I used an extension (MigrateMePlus) to do the upgrade.

All you needed to do was upgrade through Joomlas built in upgrade component. 3.3.1 to 3.4.1 is not a migration. Do not use migration extensions unnecessarily or you risk damaging your install.

1) I am still having a problem with the CB API.

You need to provide the full code that your form is trying to execute. I can't suggest anything without first seeing what it's missing or trying to do with CBs API. My guess is you're missing an import somewhere maybe.
