Problem with Awesome font was created by autobahn
Why would the icons for Username and Password (among others) be showing correctly on my local installation but not on the live installation? e.g.

<span class="cb_template cb_template_abscolours">
<span class="cbModuleUsernameIcon fa fa-user" title="Username"></span>
</span>

I had this issue on a staging server last year. Turned out my staging host provider used a CDN and that messed it up. I know it's a long shot, but maybe it will help.

good luck,

Satchi

Thanks Satchi - I'll ask the question.

Did you get round it and if so how?

I made my own staging server, and that resolved it. I was using a different host for live servers. The staging server was a 'bargain' one and I got what I paid for. (not just the CDN, other issues)

I wouldn't suggest that extreme action unless you have other issues. :)

best toyou,

Satchi

You would need to provide a URL to the issue so I can inspect the CSS and see what's conflicting. It should be very hard for other fontawesome sources to conflict as we've namespaced our CSS giving our classes extra weight. Also ensure our fontawesome wasn't turned off in CB > Configuration > Integrations.

fontawesome isn't and wasn't turned off in CB > Configuration > Integrations

You can see the login boxes at autobahnstormers.org.uk/index.php/topmenu-members-area

I am using an override.css file.

Interestingly, when I was trying to update the admin account password after upgrading to GPL 4.0.0 Stable I received a 'namespace does not exist' error (or similar wording) when I click Save and Close. The password did update though.

Thanks for your prompt help - as always :)
