New User Registration Email was created by tmoran
I want to import a user database of 500+ names and send them a registration confirmation email with their username/password (preferably as HTML).

When I add a user manually or import them using CBJuice I get an email sent, but it doesn’t provide a password

Here are my CB Registration settings:

I have tried adding my own html to the Pending Email Body and Welcome Email Body, but nothing changes in the email that is sent and I can’t find where to edit the pending and approved messages in CB or Joomla.

YOUR_REGISTRATION_IS_PENDING_APPROVAL_SUBJECT
YOUR_REGISTRATION_IS_PENDING_APPROVAL_MESSAGE
YOUR_REGISTRATION_IS_APPROVED_SUBJECT
YOUR_REGISTRATION_IS_APPROVED_MESSAGE

I haven’t found any documentation that will help me understand the process either. Any help appreciated.

I've no idea how CB Juice is doing the registrations so I don't know what to tell you. The password either hasn't been generated yet or is already generated and encrypted by time the email sends, which is why it's blank in the email.

Thanks krileon,

I will dispense with CBJuice for the moment and concentrate on getting the user registration emails working.

When I manually add a user in the backend I am receiving 2 registration emails, each with a different password. I cannot find where to edit either of them!

From: Tommy Hafey Club <info@tommyhafeyclub.com.au>
Subject: New User Details
Date: 7 July 2015 7:28:02 am AEST

I have turned off Send Password in Joomla User Config so I don't understand why I'm getting 2 different passwords sent. Only the 2nd email password works...

The first email is from Joomla. See the second link in Nicks reply to turn it off. CB Will also generate a new password for the pending/welcome process depending on configuration when using generated passwords.

Thanks guys,

Not wanting to be critical, but I’ve always had trouble navigating the CB support documentation. Under support there is FAQ’s, Articles and Tutorials.

FAQ’s lists 4 categories with Support having 13 articles (none of which cover my issue).

Articles lists 13 random articles and states “Need more information? Try searching our article library” however there is no search facility offered here for searching the articles!

Tutorials has more detail, but still none which covered the links which you have provided to me.

How do you navigate to the Getting Started articles as provided in the link supplied? I tried searching Getting Started in the general search bar and then narrowing the search just to articles, but still wasn’t able to located the relevant pages (not that I would have thought to search Getting Started in the first place).

Is there a categorised listing for all articles/documentation? My searches using Search at the top of each page never seems to lead me to the item I want
