[SOLVED] Languages was created by MAYASIMA
Hello,

I currently am working on a project with 3 languages. en-GB, en-US and ru-RU. For this project I definitely need the distinction between en-GB and en-US. en-US is set as the default Joomla language and I am using therefore the language code "en". I have the CB en-GB language pack installed and I am using overrides as well.

When I logon to CB with the default language "en", it is not picking up the overrides, which I guess is normal since it probably picks up the CB default language that has no overrides. How should I create overrides in this case? Does it make sense to create an en-US language pack? And if so, how can I create the language pack so that it uses the "en" language code? Or, if I create an en-US CB Language pack will it be called automatically because it is set as Joomla's default language?

Or instead of creating a language pack, can I just do overrides in the default CB language?

Thanks,

Sima

You would need an en-US CB language plugin as CB matches based off the full tag, which is en-US and if it doesn't find a match it will fallback to en-GB. Yes, it's possible to have override language plugins. Please see the below on how to do this.

You need to login to Transifex and press the "Request language" button at the top of the languages list to do that.

I know how to do it. I just wanted to ask you first if it would be ok. I just requested it via Transifex. Also, I created the plugin already and everything is working smooth. Thanks :)
