Hi supporters,

In my website, I want some group of users can delete or edit their CBblog, but I don't want some other groups to Edit, Publish, Delete it. Is there any way to manage that function?

Thank you and looking forwards to hearing from you.

Hai

Nope, if you are the owner of the blog you can manage its publish state, delete it, and edit it freely. It does not and will not have in-depth access control as you're wanting as that defeats the purpose of the plugin (a user managing their blog). Best you could probably do is try to act on the onBefore triggers for delete, edit, etc.. and redirect away using CB Auto Actions.

No, deleting a blog completely deletes it from the database. You'd need to modify CB Blogs and alter the delete function for blog objects.

Hi Krileon,

For most of CBblogs, users can delete them.

The matter is that, I pay for some users for their articles and they submit the article via CBblogs too. However I do not want them to delete or revise those articles. Can you suggest me some actions can be taken when they try to delete or edit those cbblogs?

Thank you and regards,

Hai

I don't recommend using CB Blogs for that usage. That's not its intended purpose and trying to force it is just going to cause you headache. You can try using CB Auto Actions to redirect away from those behaviors (there's before edit and before delete triggers) or you can use Joomlas built in submit article functionality for them to submit those types of articles.
