[SOLVED] CBPrivacy - Not getting this plugin to perform the privacy functionality

Hello guys!

I need URGENT HELP with this... I think I'm missing something pretty basic, but I haven't been able to figure it out.

I used two users for this test:

"System Administrator" is setting up his profile with privacy settings for his first name and last name:



You can see both fields were setup to private:



When a different user, using a different browser, a user who has no connection with "System Administrator" access the recently modified profile, this is what is shown:



I did setup the privacy pluging using the last official release and also the last overnight release. These are the settings:





Can you please guide me and tell me what am I missing here?

Feel free to let me know if you need backend access so I can PM the corresponding credentials...

The name displayed in canvas is the formatname field. It does not care about name or username privacy. You need to enable privacy controls for the formatname field, change how formatname field outputs by overriding its layout, change how formatname field displays (e.g. username only) within CB > Configuration, edit the profile title tab and adjust what it outputs, or add privacy controls for the profile title tab.

I do not recommend adding privacy control to avatar and formatname field. They are both used extensively outside of a users profile.

Hello Kyle!

Thank you for your reply! You gave me some ideas already, but after playing around (see the two screenshots below) with other fields, I'm having the same issue.

For example: One user has the field set as Private with the value "5"



When I access that profile from a different account, I can still see the value of that field even though it was set to private



Could you provide me some guidance please?

Install latest CB 2.x nightly found below.

Once done update your plugins according to the chart below. Install nightlies where available.

If issue persists re-save the profile with the Private privacy value selected then see if it's now hidden. If caching is enabled please be sure to clear all caching then see if issue persists. If issue still persists please PM backend super administrator login credentials with steps to reproduce your exact issue and will take a look.
