How to remove the message in the yellow box?

8 years 4 months ago #283137 by pierre2bzh
Hi the team! :)
After 2 huge days on my website, I have a stupid problem...
After a registration, people is autologued (thanks Aucto Actions!) and redirect to a selected page, that's perfect.

BUT

I don't want to show the yellow box as you can see in the screenshot. It's written:
"Message
You are connected"

How can I manage in order to not show that when a user do a registration?
I looked for that at least 10 times in the configuration panel, without succes... :s
Thanks a lot for your help! :)
Pierre

Make a copy of the auto login system action and set "Alerts" to "No". This can be done 1 step by editing "Auto Login" within CB Auto Actions > System Actions and adjusting the parameter then clicking "Save as Copy". Next you'll want to unpublish the system action and publish your new copy.

Thanks Krileon, it works great for the notification after the registration/autlogin!

But there is something surprising/annoying:
After the first logout (and only after the first logout, that never happens for the new logouts), there is a yellow box too. Double problem:
1) I don't want it at all
2) that's wrong!
the yellow box says:
"Message
Your account has been created. An activation link has been sent to your e-mail. You must activate the account by clicking on the activation link before you can login. In the meantime, you may invite your friends to start building your network!"

I know I can change the text to have a "thank you message" or something like that. But in fact I want to message at all...

I tried to look at the CB Auto Action but I can not find...
I tried:
- Login/logout,
- onAfterUserlogout
- action: logout
- redirection: i tried both absolute and relative links
and when I logout after the first login, I've got this error
"Error 1062: session initialisation"

So am I in the good way with a stupid mistake or do you have another solution?
More global, is there a control panel or something like that to manage the box messages?

Anyway, thank you for the support, I congratule you for your job and me fr having buy a licence :)

Are you using email confirmation or user approval? You can't use either of those if you want auto login to behave as expected or they need to be confirmed and approved before the auto login is triggered.

Do you see the message after logging out immediately after the auto login? Does it still display even after navigating to a few pages then logging out?

Hi Krileon,
Thanks for reply! :)

1) About the message in the yellow box:
On CB:
- admin approbation: NO
- email confirmation: NO

and in Joomla:
- Account activation: AUTO-ACTIVATION
- email notification: NO

I just changed with this setting:
- Account activation: NO

and the message is now:
"Message
Your account has been activated. Please login with your username and password.
In the meantime, you may invite your friends to start building your network!"

But that's a little bit surprising because I obtain it only after the FIRST logout. Surprising it asks for login with username and password. Moreover I choosed a login's method by email only and not by username. And I obtain it even if I navigate to several pages before logout...
Nevertheless, it seems to be ok, I can change the message for a "thank you"-like message but I really prefer to hide this message, do you know how I can manage for that?

2) about CB Auto Action to try to remove the messages
As I told you, here are my settings:
I tried:
- Login/logout,
- onAfterUserlogout
- action: logout
- Alerts: no
- redirection: i tried both absolute and relative links
When I am connected, the link is (right click, copy link) : http://MY_WEBSITE/%20index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=logout
and when I logout, I've got this error
"Error 1062: session initialisation"
NB: I don't understand why there is "%20" in the link. but even when i try without in the url bar, same result: error 1062...

Do you have any idea to manage that?

Thank you Krileon, have a good night/day! (Where are you from in Joomlapolis? ;) )
Pierre
