Hello everyone,

When I want to assign an image (logo) to a group or a canvas the size of the image is too small compared to the canvas.

And for the canvas the image is not necessarily the right size, even after readjustment it becomes blurred.

A solution for images to be well dimensioned?

Thank you.

I have communty builder 2.1 and joomla 3.6.5 as well as GroupJive 3.0.1.

Regards

Your image sizing parameters are likely set too small. You can adjust those parameters within GJ > Configuration > Images under Canvas and Logos tabs. The defaults are as follows encase you updated from an older GJ release and it migrated those settings.

Canvas
Maximum Image Height: 640
Maximum Image Width: 1280
Maximum Thumbnail Height: 320
Maximum Thumbnail Width: 640

Logos
Maximum Image Height: 640
Maximum Image Width: 1280
Maximum Thumbnail Height: 320
Maximum Thumbnail Width: 640

The above should allow a logo or canvas of that size or larger to fill their respective areas. Aspect ratio can play a bit role in this though. A portrait photo for example doesn't do so good in the canvas position as it's a landscape layout.

It seems ok.

But i have another issue when i select the groups link which show the page with every groups, i have for all of them the logo and the canvas superimposed. it's not good for me.
I still want the posisibility for my users to have a logo and a canvas because when you choose one group and clic on it it show it well.

I don't understand your problem picture. That's certainly not how all groups looks like. It should look like the below.

demo.cbdemosites.com/addons/cb-groupjive/all-groups

Is that with a mobile view or a very small browser window? Please ensure CB and GJ are both completely up to date and that if caching is enabled that you've purged it.

In the demo you have the images of logo and the canvas for every group.
I just don't want to have the image of the canvas that appears only the logo.

To sum up, before you click on a group i only want the image of the logo of the group.
Then when you click on a group (logo,link...) to access it and when you access at this moment, you have the image of the canvas and the image of the group.

Thank you

You need to either use CSS to hide those elements or you'll have to modify the template files for that. Each view in GJ has a CSS class surrounding it. Right click and inspect element to review the page DOM structure for its CSS classes. The template files can be found at the below location.

/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbgroupjive/templates/default

It's not recommended to modify the default files though. It's best to copy the default folder, delete everything you don't want changed (except index.html), then select your template within GJ configuration.
