[SOLVED] Forgot Password - Access Denied

Running CB 2.1.2, CBSubs 4.1.0, Joomla 3.6.5 Stable

I am having the same problem as the one described in [#291969]

I have hidden, published, public menu items for the CB User Profile and Forgot Login.

Please link to the topic that you're talking about. Please also include the full error message you're seeing when trying to access or use forgot login.

Attached is a screen shot of the error. I picked a test user, went to the login screen and entered the user name.
Then clicked on Forgot Password, selected Lost Password, entered the username and email, and submitted.

Are you protecting core CB or any of its views with CBSubs? Try disabling CB Paid Subscriptions within CB > Plugin Management to see if issue goes away to confirm that CBSubs is blocking that view.

I unpublished CB Paid Subscriptions in CB Plugins, cleared both the Joomla and browser caches, and the problem is still there.

The screen I get when I click on Forgot Password still shows "Powered by Community Builder", if that's helpful.

Disable SEF then retry and review the Itemid of the URL you're on when you get the Access Denied. Find the menu item associated with it and ensure it's public and published. Aside from that I've no idea as you've a permissions problem somewhere. It's a pretty vague error message that could come from Joomla, CBSubs, and any number of extensions. Best I can suggest is being disabling non-core CB plugins 1 by 1 in CB > Plugin Management until it goes away. If still persists repeat with 3rd party Joomla system and user plugins in Extensions > Plugins.
