CB Activiy installation faild

Hi CB Community,

i tried to install cb acitivity but the intallation failed.

Error Log says:

500 - Unknown column 'parent' in 'field list' SQL=UPDATE `#__comprofiler_plugin_activity` SET `asset` = CONCAT_WS( '.', 'profile', IF( `parent` != '', `parent`, `user_id` ) ) WHERE `type` = 'status'

How can i fix this and install the newest version.
After i go back to cb plugins i can see the new cb activity version and can make all the settings. But in Frontend there are only some activitys that are weeks old. I think with the failed installation the update of activitys doesnt work.

Does anyone has the same problem maybe or know a solution?

There hasn't been a parent column for quite awhile. Most likely you've something else installed acting on CB Activity triggers and its usage is out of date. Update everything and see if issue persists. The plugins CB GroupJive, CB Gallery, and CB Auto Actions all interact with CB Gallery so ensure all of them are up to date.

If this happens only during installation there's an odd migration issue happening; likely upgrading from a version without the parent column, which should clear up on a reinstall and if not try installing an older version first then update to latest CB Activity.

Mhmm the plugins are all up to date.

Does it have something to do with my menü link?

I created a menü to select community builder plugin then selected activity and activity...
I see the timeline stop exactly 1 day after i installed the first time.

I really dont have a idea. Old Version worked great with no troubles.

Yes installation still failes.

Sorry i dont know the version of the old one anymore. I deleted it to do a fresh installation, i thougt this could be the best way.
It was really old i think it was the first activity steam that comes out years ago.

Maybe i can delete this colume because i dont know what it is for...
What do you think is the best was to get this working?

Ok, that'd be the issue then. Parent didn't original exist in an extremely old version and the current migration doesn't (and won't, I've no means of testing that anymore) take into account extremely early releases. If you're ok with losing your existing activity entries then delete the _comprofiler_plugin_activity database tables and start over with a fresh CB Activity install. Aside from that you can try installing oldest CB Activity we have available (3.0.1) to see if it can migrate from your current install then install latest after 3.0.1 has migrated.
