[SOLVED] Can't update was created by jurgeng
Hi,

for some unknown reason, I'm unable to upgrade my Community Builder. I'm getting an error:

Duplicate entry '65' for key 'PRIMARY'
Package Update: There was an error installing an extension: com_comprofiler.zip

But after removing user 65 from the users, the next user in the table becomes the duplicate entry.
I have no clue where to start looking into fixing this.

I'm currently stuck at version 2.1.2.

Hi,
thanks for replying. Doing it this way didn't work either. See screenshot.

Actually it was a bit confusing because it gave a "success" message and under it a failure message.

Did you alter the _comprofiler database in any way? or restore from an old Akeeba backup? Sounds like there's an issue with your _comprofiler auto increment value, but I don't know for sure since the error isn't including the table affected. Try running User Synchronization within CB > Tools followed by the other database fix tools to see if there's any issues that can be fixed.

Hi,

this is a really old site that has been upgraded all the way from Joomla 1.0 to current (gradually over the years, oldest articles and members are about 10 years old). Could something have gone wrong along the way? I can't say for sure. I used a third party upgrade utility to go from 1.5 to 2.5 and one to go from 2.5 to 3.x

I didn't manually alter any data in any database.
I'd be glad to give you an account and URL, if you would shoot me a message.

Best regards,
Jurgen

Could something have gone wrong along the way?

Absolutely and is very likely the issue.

I don't really know what to suggest. You'd have to manually fix your database to resolve this. I assume it's your _comprofiler database table having issues, which you can edit within phpmyadmin and see if the auto increment value is wrong.
