6 years 4 months ago - 6 years 4 months ago #304894 by association.aamoi
Hi,

I've installed CB Gallery and configure to permit all registred user to be able to consult other users profile but only a specific group (not admin) able to see user gallery on other user profile.
This works.

But when i've a user, not admin, but authorize to see other user gallery, he can also unpublish/trash or detele file in other user gallery.
When i focus on file, i've a menu to do this

User is unable to add file but can delete it.
I've search a option to limit or disable this but i don't find something.

Thanks for your help

Sounds like they've CB Moderator permissions. Ensure the Moderator View Access Level within CB > Configuration > Moderation is strictly set. Media can only be managed by the owner of the media and CB Moderators.

If your test user has a usergroup that's selected in your moderator view access level then they've permission to edit, delete, etc.. others media entries. The second parameter regarding profile edit strictly only applies to profile edit. It does not limit moderation of anything else.

Is that user the owner of that media uploaded? If they are they can freely modify it. I'm not seeing any permission problems with CB Gallery in my tests locally or on our demo site. The only way someone can modify a media entry is they are the owner of it or are a moderator; there are no other checks being applied beyond those two. Edit the media from backend and review what user id is set for User.
