No connection to Social pages after update.

My main menu item Social Pages moved to 'trashed' after update to 2.9.3
I tried different configurations with no change.
I tried creating a new menu item and it too went directly to trash.
My staging site without update and on version 2.8.2  is working fine.
Any ideas??

I can't answer questions specific only to your site. I've no idea what "Social Pages" menu item is supposed to be. CB doesn't have any code for trashing menu items. It only has code for creating its default menu items if they're missing.

CB has nothing to do with Joomla menu management. That's entirely on Joomla. It sounds like you filtered the menu to Trashed status then clicked the New button and in doing so it pre-selects Trashed as the status for the new menu item.

Either clear the filter before clicking New or just change the Status when creating the menu item.

Sorry, it took so long to respond. I had other fires to put out. I've tried different ways with no results. I can create the Joomla main menu item and if I don't assign it to the main menu, it publishes. Only when I assign it does it automatically go to trash. I have a staging site, which is a duplicate and the only difference is that I updated CB to 2.9.3 on the main site in error. I usually do the work on the staging site first.
What I am after is to have a direct link to the social pages through my Connect main menu.
I did notice a difference between the older activity plugin and the new one.  
I could use some help.
Is there anything you need from me?

Hi Krileon, I found a solution. I added the CB user menu to the front page, which eliminates my main menu issue and improves things. Now, I would like to hire a CB specialist to help me take full advantage of CB and all its goodies. I see at least four issues that need to be addressed, and I know it's my fault for not setting things up properly. It's time to get a better brain involved. Do you have any suggestions?

Your needs don't seam too complex and should be easily doable with the following.

Comments = CB Activity (works on articles, activity posts, or as standalone in a Joomla module even)
Forums = Kunena
Social Pages = CB Profiles + CB Activity feed
Private Messaging = CB Private Messages

CB Activity can bring all of this together into a single activity feed. It can log an activity entry when someone makes a new post in Kunena and activity posts can be commented on. CB Activity also has searching functionality and with Flair you can tag posts, which are also searchable. We can provide limited instruction on how to configure all of this as part of your subscription, but we can't configure this for you.

We do provide some limited configuration services below, but we don't provide a full developer experience if you're needing a web developer to take over the complete configuration of your entire site.

Hi Krileon. The functions and setups of accessories and plugins are clear, and I have no issues. Where I do have issue is creating a single link to the social pages for my users. Like I said, I have installed the CB Menu module "Social Menus" on my home page that links to the major functions, which is great and is set for 'registered'. But, I still have a problem linking to the main social page, which I was trying to do independently in the main menu. 
The first selection of the CB Menu is 'Social Page', which has no link (904). What type and link do I use? And here's where I am confusing myself. 
Social Stream, Profile Book, Profile Wall, Activity: Which one would be a good single choice? It should be similar to other familiar social pages, like Facebook and LinkedIn, for example. 
I am not a social butterfly, by any means. So, I don't really know my way around social page systems, and I expect others to be the same. But I do want to offer this to my members. So, it has to be simple: one click and start engaging.
