[no bug]: Read message disappeared

Hi there,
1st of all thanks for the update and happy new year to you and yours.

2nd of all, I've uninstalled the previous version and installed uddeIM 2.2 and here are some suggestions and issues I'm facing:

1. The file that controls the e-mail notification should be in the theme folder or in a memo field in the administration. After updating I've lost my e-mail text that I had "hacked". Right now I can't remember which file it was. I'll try to search or if you have in mind the name of the file, it will be easier. ;0)

2. The read messages icon/system seems not to be working in the outbox. I mean, if I send a PM to an user it shows in my outbox that the message wasn't read. Until here ok, the message remains in the outbox with the icon as receiver hadn't read. Well the issue is after the receiver reads the message. If the receiver replies a message, in the sender outbox the message disappears and it shouldn't. I as a sender should have in my outbox the message I've sent even the receiver deletes or replies it. Also even the receiver deletes the message after reading it, my outbox should show the message as read (icon) and it doesn't. It just disappear the message from the sender outbox. It needs to be reviewed.

Well that's all for a while, let me keep testing. Anything else I'll post here.

2. This shouldn't be the intended behavior and if so it is a definitely bug. I will check.

Update:
Checked with two users and everything is fine. Have you seed the checkbox "[x] trash original". When this box is checked the message you are replying to is trashed (not in the original sender's outbox, but the message that is in your inbox).
So I see no problem here.

I'm sorry but I do see problem here. Yup, checked or not, the message in the sender outbox is deleted after a receiver replies or just read it. Weird issue here even in the previous UddeIM version .

Have tried yourself? please, try these steps and see if the same happens to you.

1. Log in as the SENDER and send a message to a PERSON X.
2. Check your outbox (SENDER). The message sent to PERSON X will be there marked as unread;
3. Log out and log as PERSON X;
4. Just read the message without replying or reply it marked or not the "[x] trash original", it's up to you;
5. log off PERSON X;
6. Log in as SENDER;
7. Check your outbox. The message is gone/deleted!

uddeIM cleans up messages after a certain period of time. Have you checked the tab "Deletion" in uddeIM backend? Do you have entered a "0" there?

Nope, I think all values are set as default.
36524 days for the 1st three input fields and the last one as 7 days (Messages in the trash will be kept for 7 days).

Did you do the test above in the previous message? Did it work ok for you?

Yes, I have tested it and everything was fine.

Have you recognized that the message list in the outbox is sorted?
First all unread messages, then all read messages?

Shall we bet on that the missing message is still in your outbox?
