Send message to user link?

Hello everybody!!!

I was wondering if is possible to put a 'contact specific user' link into an article...

i put something like that but didnt work 100% (im a code noob)

[code:1]<a href="component/uddeim/?task=new&recip=userhere">send a private message to author</a>[/code:1]

It opens the new message window but it dont put the receiver name

Is it possible to make it work???
Im not using community builder ..

Have you checked the README file?

You will find the answer in Appendix E.

OK, maybe I am not the brightest crayon in the box but where is the readme with an appendix E? I am trying to do the same thing.

My download has FAQ in PDF
I downloaded the please read first FAQ also in PDF
My download has readme but only goes to appendix B

I know I am missing something, but I dont know what.

My mistake. It looks like Appendix E is now chapter 14 in my downloaded PDF. Sorry

Yes, you are right.

The "txt" FAQ was to confusing when it becomes longer. The "pdf" FAQ has a nice toc now and looks nicer with its pictures

something else...except the link to put for the user:

/index.php?option=uddeim&task=new&recip=userid

is possible to be a beginnig of message?
