"time" field strings

"time" field strings was created by JoeTheBronx
Hello.
As always, I start saying that I use CB to manage my Athletic Club.
I am trying to create a TIME ONLY field to register the personal bests of my runners on the different races... How can I get rid of the date fields?

Create a datetime field with following parameters set under Parameters > Display.

Edit Display: Custom
Custom Date Edit Format: (add empty space here)
Custom Time Edit Format: H:i:s
Profile View Display: Custom
Timezone Offset: Disable
Custom Date Display Format: (add empty space here)
Custom Time Display Format: H:i:s
Calendar Type: Drop-down, without Popup Calendar

There's no time field so this is basically only a workaround. Another option is to just hide the month, day, and year using CSS. Added feature ticket to review implementing an actual time fieldtype.

It is ok, but there is only a problem... from the dropdown I have the minutes 5 minutes to 5 minutes (00,05,10...50,55), but I need it from 00 to 59

That's not an option at this time. Currently it's done in steps of 5. A parameter maybe added at a later time to allow specifying the steps.

In this case I cannot use anything in order to record each athlete's personal best on road running...
maybe the only solution is using a simple text field and type the data with the same format... any different idea?

Sorry, don't know what to tell you. There is currently no way to change the minute steps. You'll have to just use a text field and maybe add custom regex validation to it to force a format.
