ID and Age verification are becoming an ever increasing reality. We've looked at other solutions offered and many of them are easily bypassed using simple CSS or JavaScript making your site, should it need ID verification, vulnerable to legal scrutiny. So we've created CB ID Verify to solve that. CB ID Verify directly replaces Joomla's component output buffer. This means there's no bypassing it because the underlying content is never even delivered to them.
All of this is powered by Stripe Identity or Persona. We provide both as available services. A Sandbox mode is also included so you can test drive this entire process before deciding to purchase either service for your convenience. We are absolutely open to adding additional services as this has been designed for us to cleanly extend so should you have any you'd like simply let us know on the forums and we'll take a look to see if that service would be a good fit.
There is no CB requirement (works without CB) for CB ID Verify and the minimum system requirements are that of Joomla 5. Both Joomla 5 and Joomla 6 are supported. While mentioning this you will see this as an ever increasing change. We are adopting a "last 2 major" policy for Joomla compatibility. Meaning we will be supporting only the last 2 major releases going forward for new releases. Existing products will continue to support their Joomla versions until CB 3.0. So it is advised you start your migration plans sooner rather than later.
So lets get right into it. You can ID verify any page on your site. Whether that be by URL, by menu item, by extension, or even specific Joomla articles and their categories easily in a simple 1 page configuration.
This can be further controlled by simple to configure exclude parameters to more fine grain control who is id verified exactly.
The entire display can be customized from text, to font sizing, to background image and more. All easily done from the configuration of the plugin.
This is not limited to the parameters either as all output is handled through Joomla layouts which you can override from your Joomla template to style them however you like.
URL include and exclude supports exact matching, partial matching, and REGEXP matching making it easy to target whatever URL you need.
Your SEO is also perfectly safe. Header output for pages with ID verification remains intact. This means your meta descriptions, keywords, schemaorg, and CB SEO opengraph are all maintained allowing search engines and AI to parse your pages safely while still keeping content restricted.
I know the world is in controversy over ID verification, but the reality is these laws are being put in place and until they are overturned depending on the content of your site you may be required to comply. We wanted to make that as easy, safe, and affordable as possible. So we hope CB ID Verify can alleviate some of that concern for you.
