I've noticed that some of the items in the basket list are flagged as "Pending" while the subscription status on the user doesn't tell the same story. The user's status just indicate that a subscription is expired.
I'm not sure, but it may be a link between these discrepancies and users that reactivated their subscription instead of going for another plan..
If a basket is Pending it means they went to renew, clicked a gateway button, but then didn't actually pay nor did they actually cancel the basket. It could also mean the basket is waiting for a payment IPN or PDT to come through. This is pretty normal behavior.
